During the school year we have two services: Traditional service with Holy Communion - 8:30 AM Contemporary service - 10:15 AM The 8:30 AM service follows the traditional order of worship and focuses on prayer and Holy Communion, and has a quiet tone to it. The 10:15 AM service has a contemporary beat and relaxed feel to it, and we celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. Our general practice is to follow the Revised Common Lectionary scripture readings each week. Children are welcome in all worship services. During the Summer months (from Father's Day through Labor Day weekend) we have one worship service outdoors on the church grounds at 10:15 AM. We celebrate Holy Communion during worship on the first Sunday of each month. Sunday School: Christian education for elementary age children is offered during the school year. Class begins after the Children's Time during the 10:15 AM service. Childcare: We provide childcare for pre-Kindegarten age children during the 10:15 AM service most Sunday mornings during the school year. A paid youth worker and a volunteer adult supervise this area in the church basement, not far from the sanctuary. Confirmation Class: Middle School age students explore the Christian faith and their own faith development through study, worship, and active service during a school year of Confirmation Class. Contact Pastor Joyce Rich for more information about the class starting in October of 2007. Vacation Bible School: Each Summer we offer a unique opportunity for fellowship, Bible study, crafts, and spiritual growth through Vacation Bible School. Some years it covers multiple Sundays, other Summers it will be held weeknights for one week. Stay tuned for plans for the Summer of 2008. Other Programming
Music Ministry: We have opportunities for everyone to share their musical talents in worship – and we encourage those who especially enjoy singing to take part in the music leadership for our 10:15 AM worship service. Feel free to sit in on the half hour rehearsals prior to each service to warm-up and prepare for worship. Some musical works are rehearsed at other rehearsal times in preparation for services during the Christmas and Easter seasons. Children, youth, and adults are encouraged to share their instrumental gifts throughout the year. Bible Study and other classes for adults are offered throughout the year.
