During the month of September our special gifts for mission go to the Association for the Prevention of Family Violence (APFV). Located at 461 E. Geneva in Elkhorn, APFV provides free and confidential services to victims of domestic violence. We support APFV’s work to stop the violence with our special gifts for mission in September. Call APFV at 723-4653 if you’d like more information, or to volunteer your time. Financial gifts can be placed in the offering plate, or mailed to church. Checks can be made out to Bethel UMC, with ‘APFV’ or ‘Sept. Mission’ noted on the memo line or envelope. Thank you!

These three photos were taken of the Oklahoma Federal Building Memorial. The one with 9:01 A.M. is the time the bomber entered the street in front of the building, the bomb went off at 9:02 A.M. and he left the area at 9:03 A.M. shown in other photo. The memorial chairs for those killed the third photo. The chairs are a memorial for each person. Large chairs are for adults, and small chairs for the children. Each row of chairs represents the floor they were on when the bomb went off. The group of chairs on the right side are for those rescue workers who were killed trying to help the injured.
